In its simplest form, VELUX 0073 glazing keeps heat in from the sun to reduce energy costs and also increase your indoor safety. It is made up of a laminated inner pane, while there are foils for safety and a 4mm toughened outer pane for strength.

0060 Noise Reduction Glazing

If you feel your windows are quite loud, then the VELUX 0060 glazing is perhaps the best fit for you as it reduces outdoor noise even further, while also minimising the sound of rain and hail on the window.

It is made up of a laminated inner pane, in addition to a toughened external pane with sun protection coating and easy clean coating.

 

 

 

 

 

0034 Obscure Glazing

It can be difficult to find the right balance between privacy and letting natural light in, but the VELUX 0034 glazing does a fantastic job of doing both.

Made up of a laminated inner pane, it comes with white-coloured foils for privacy and a 4mm toughened external pane with extra heat insulation coating.

 

 

What you need to replace your glazing

If your VELUX window was manufactured before April 2001, in addition to the replacement glass, you will also need a conversion kit. Also, if your window is first, second or third generation, they will need replacing with a third-generation glazing.

Meanwhile, for all pre-2001 GHL top hung VELUX roof windows, you will need the specific IGR 4000 conversion kit to carry out the replacement.

In the event that you have a fourth generation VELUX window – which is conveniently identified by a K in the code – you will need fourth-generation glazing as a necessity.
