Sidcup | Yard/Warehouse Person
Salary £28,346.50 plus Bonus Benefits Company Pension Contract Type Full-time, Permanent Work Hours You will be required to work Monday to Thursday 6:30am - 4:30pm Fridays 6.30am to 4.00pm. No Saturdays Probation Period 6 months Location of Position DA14 5BL An opportunity has arisen to work from our Sidcup Depot DA14 5BL, where we supply and deliver and all forms of Roofing Materials.
You will need to be a good communicator as you will be working closely with a team of experienced operatives and dealing with the Public. You should have a flexible attitude, and ideally some experience in the Building / Roofing Industry. You will need to be aware of health and safety where it will be a key factor within the working day. You will also be loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck, sorting stock and general housekeeping.

An opportunity has arisen to work from our Southall Depot, UB2 4SD, where we supply and deliver all forms of Roofing Materials.
As a Counter Sales Advisor you will be responsible for serving our customers and building relationships to generate sales. Our client prides themselves on service and strive to ensure customers receive the products they need, easily and at a great price.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and personal traits:- Good communication skills
- Bilingual English/Punjabi
- Driven to achieve high standards
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of a similar role in a trade or retail environment
- Good understanding of excel and stock control (to you help maintain the branches stock levels)
- Good organisational skills

HGV Class 2 Driver
Salary From £38,000 plus Bonus up to £2400 a year Benefits Company Pension Contract Type Full-time, Permanent Work Hours Full-time, 44.5 hours per week Probation Period 6 months Location of Position Unit 6 Lockwood Way, Walthamstow, London, E17 5RB JJ Roofing Supplies is one of the leading roofing material suppliers in the UK. We offer customers a wide choice of quality roofing materials and associated products that can be purchase through one of our five trade centres across London and Hertfordshire or online at jjroofingsupplies.co.uk.
We require a H.G.V Class 2/L.G.V Class C driver with experience of driving around London and the surrounding counties for an exciting new position that has opened due to the growth of our company. We are looking for a H.G.V Class 2/L.G.V Class C driver to join a dynamic team working on keeping our high standard of delivery service in our new fleet of vehicles
DUTIES
- Delivering and collecting roofing materials with the assistants of a crane.
- Maintaining the vehicle to a high standard.
- Achieving operational targets and contractual KPI's.
- Providing accurate daily information to enable an effective handover.
- Ensuring a safe and productive workplace where the Company’s legislative and commercial obligations are met.
- Assisting the site staff with making up and loading of vehicles.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in driving HGV’s.
- Experience in using Digital Tacho card.
- Crane/Hiab Knowledge essential.
- Full driver’s CPC is essential.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines.
- You should process well developed organisational skills and be able to demonstrate commitment to deliver consistent quality.
- Good communication both verbal and written.
- You will be expected to be both customer and company focused with a pro-active approach.
- Knowledge or experience of working in the Roofing sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will need to be a good communicator as you will be working closely with a team of experienced operatives and dealing with the Public. You should have a flexible attitude, and ideally some experience in the Building / Roofing Industry. You will need to be aware of health and safety where it will be a key factor within the working day. You should also have a good knowledge of London and Surrounding Counties as most of our deliveries are in those areas.
Clean Cat C1 Driving License, Digital tachograph card and current CPC Training is essential.
You will be required to work Monday to Thursday 6:30am – 4:30pm and 6:30am – 4:00pm Fridays
