The best colour trends for winter 2021/22
Renovations and decorating can happen at any time of the year, but if you are planning on a winter refresh, these are the five most notable trends for 2021/22
For some, winter is the best time of the year – a chance to enjoy the festive decorations and make the very most of the warmth on offer at home.
With that in mind, they may want to decorate their chosen area to highlight some of the most on trend colours for winter in 2021/22, knowing that they will have something that reminds them of their favourite season all year round.
As such, we have done some digging and have put together the five most on trend colours for winter 2021/22.
Nature inspired colours
Ok, so this is a bit of a cheeky one as it’s more than one, but many experts have stated that the darker and more earthly nature inspired colours are very on trend for this winter.
The reason for this is because they are seen as warmer colours for interior design, they give the illusion that a room is going to be hotter than it actually is – which in winter, is a huge boost!
There is also more selection with these as opposed to the colours we cover later on in the piece, so you have more flexibility and more options available to you to find something unique.
Deeper shades of green
It seems that 2021 has been the year for dark green and its influence has extended into the winter months as well, with several experts naming it as a colour of the season.
Another nature colour technically, dark green has been made more prominent within interior design over the last 12 months and it would appear that it isn’t going away anytime soon, either.
Experts claim it brings a sense of well-being to a living space, as well as providing a very strong and good look for winter.
Orange
While many would associate orange with autumn, given the perhaps slightly delayed changing of the season, it would seem that orange has crept its way into being a top colour for winter 2021/22.
Bright, colourful and vibrant, orange – especially the darker tones of orange – are perhaps surprisingly being tipped to be a notable trend for the winter season of 2021/22.
It would reflect versatility too, with orange working brilliantly well for both Halloween and the autumnal time of year, so you’ll be on trend for half the year in essence!
Dark blue/navy
Blue depths look good at the best of times, but the colour has been given approving nods by experts ahead of winter 2021/22 for more than just its stylistic look.
Experts claim it has an intense feel and that people can find solace within that during the winter months, especially when it is freezing outside.
As well as that, much like the darker green, it’s a very versatile colour and can work really well from a stylistic perspective.
Purple
Last but by no means least, we have purple, which aside from being the colour of the nation’s favourite Quality Street, is a very vibrant, warm and encompassing colour.
Experts are saying that due to the nature of the colour, it can give a spacy a cosy and warm feel, which makes it an on-trend colour ahead of winter 2021/22.
Much like the dark blue, it is also a very versatile colour, so you can find ways to make it work for you in a unique manner all year round.
