Korniche FAQs
There is always a lot of interest in our Korniche range, so we’ve put together the most frequently asked questions for you so you can have the key information you need
One thing that always catches the eye is our Korniche range, which has the capacity to enhance any home and also give it a very unique wow factor.
However, there may be a few things that you don’t know or would like to check, so with that in mind, we’ve put together here the answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive.
What do the tints do?
So, there are four different tints available for Korniche products – Clear, Ambi Neutral, Ambi Blue and Sunshade Blue. Here are the differences between the four:
Clear – standard for most light, this is, much like the name suggests, the standard fit and is the most balanced type of tint.
Ambi Neutral – this is a darker toned clear glass, but while it comes with better solar protection, it provides less light transmission as a result.
Ambi Blue – this Blue-Sky effect glass comes with better solar protection than standard, much like Ambi Neutral, but it allows in much more light than its sibling.
Sunshade Blue – finally, this type of tint offers a higher level of thermal quality glazing and also comes with better specs, but while it also has the best solar protection, it also lets the least light in of the four.
What is the delivery period?
At this moment in time and due to a) the pandemic and b) a naturally busy period for Korniche, delivery time is between three to four weeks.
However, in quieter months, it is normally around the two-week mark.
What is the delivery method for Korniche products?
Korniche products arrive as a flat pack and will turn up with two vans – one van for the glass itself and the other van for the frame parts.
Subject to time and location, it is possible that the delivery may be scheduled for a two-day run.
Are upstands included in the purchase?
They are not, so one would need to be created on site for the builder.
How are these units measured?
The units are measured based on a builder’s on site external kerb dimensions.
What is my required opening size?
Naturally, this depends, but the required opening would be the external kerb dimension (so the lantern size) minus the upstand thickness – so in this instance, you’d be looking at 70mm all round.
Can we get blinds for them?
No, you cannot have blinds installed on Korniche products.
