Daylight: REAL Aluminium casement windows & French doors, VELUX roof windows

What Was Done?

The land

was previously home to a large bungalow with a big garden. This site was demolished and replaced with three brand new thoughtfully-designed bungalows.

The largest

bungalow

has three

bedrooms, including a master with en-suite,

a

luxury family bathroom and

a stylish open plan kitchen area which is connected to the garden by a pair of French doors.

Throughout the single storey designs are natural daylight sources, with wall and roof glazing

to make the property brighter and more energy efficient.

What Daylight Was Added?

A slimline aluminium theme runs through the bungalow,

with anthracite grey casement windows and French doors

from REAL installed in the kitchen and bathroom.

In addition

to the vertical glazing, vaulted ceilings were structured

into each bungalow

to give the properties a sense of space, with a row of

VELUX pitched roof windows added to

give the properties more light.

The service was fantastic. We were given competitive prices on the Velux windows. The aluminium windows and doors were the real show stopper. Everyone seems to love them.

-Billy Ahmed, Creative Director Gee & Wyatt

How Important is Natural Light to The Property?

Each bungalow benefits

from the self-sufficient power of natural daylight by cleverly combining

vertical and pitched glazing to adequately cover the whole area with healthy daylight.

In addition to this, the minimal frame build of REAL Aluminium windows and doors ensures clear

views out into the garden, while the outstanding thermal

design provides comfortable

indoor temperatures.

To let in even more light, the French doors have two large panels to each side and

one of the smaller bungalows was fitted with a roof lantern in the flat section of the roof.
