High-Performance Glazing
All Korniche Lanterns come with premium 28mm double-glazed units, including:
· Argon-filled glass with warm edge spacer bars
· Toughened glass internally and externally
· Self-cleaning coating activated by UV rays, allowing rain to wash away dirt.
· Standard U-value of 1.2 W/m²K for excellent thermal efficiency
Glass options include Clear, Neutral, and Blue, offering varying levels of solar control and light transmission. Optional laminated inner panes are also available for enhanced safety please speak to our team regarding glazing options.
Supplied with a 30cm high Insulated Upstand
The Korniche Upstand is a precision-engineered solution designed to provide strong structural support and long-term stability for rooflights. Made from thermally efficient SIPs with an insulated EPS core, it enhances energy performance while simplifying installation. Delivered ready to fit, it eliminates the need for cutting, measuring, or additional insulation, saving time on site. Its exact-fit design ensures seamless integration, including pre-formed angles where required. Dispatched ahead of the rooflight, it helps streamline project timelines. For cold roof systems, a 150mm upstand is recommended to meet regulations and ensure proper installation.
NOTE : THE UPSTAND WILL ARRIVE APPROX. 7 DAYS ATFER THE ORDER IS PLACED SO IT CAN BE FITTED AND WEATHERED BEFORE THE LANTERN ARRIVES.
Upstand width: 75mm. Lantern sizes are based on the external kerb size. For example:
A 2000mm x 1000mm lantern requires a roof opening of 1850mm x 850mm.
