Which is the right roofing tile for you?

Roofing tiles have been in demand for quite a while now. The growing demand for roof tiles has spurred manufacturers to come up with different kinds and forms of roof tiles.

When we think of buying roofing materials it is important to consider factors such as heat loss and water seepage. It is good to get enough knowledge about the different materials one has to use to have a sturdy roof above your head.

Roof tiles made of clay

The good thing about these tiles is that they inter-lock for tension free installation. The reason for their durability is a good layer of protective glaze. The advantage here is that they can sustain a rough climate too.
These tiles are sold in three different quality categories. Those who want to use clay tiles for their roof should make sure the roof structure is strong and sturdy because clay tiles tend to be heavy.

Roof tiles made of concrete

Concrete roof tiles are a wonderful option as they can survive absolutely any kind of climate, be it ice, rain, wind or heat. They are made from sand and pigments, and are available in many different colours.

Concrete tiles are an advantage as they can be placed in just about any position during installation. Concrete roof tiles should be installed by a proper professional, however, as installing them by yourself can be very tricky.
