In-depth Velux Training.
Today, we hosted another fantastic Velux Best Practice Installation Training session at the JJ Roofing Supplies Roofing Training Academy, led by Jamie Palmer-House, also known as "The Velux Knowledge Library." Jamie’s reputation for being a walking encyclopaedia of Velux installation tips and tricks was evident, and as always, his enthusiasm made the day both informative and fun for all attendees.
What Attendees Learned.
During the session, attendees were taken through every stage of the Velux sloping roof window installation process, including:
- Understanding different Velux window types, such as top-hung and centre-pivot models
- Avoiding common installation mistakes that can lead to leaks or inefficiency
- Proper positioning of the underfelt collar for a watertight seal
- Installing flashing kits and ensuring correct integration with the roof tiles
- Hands-on practice to speed up future installations and boost efficiency
Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions and pick Jamie’s brain on everything Velux, ensuring they felt confident with the installation process by the end of the day.
