Roofing felt – How can you install them yourself?

Before attempting to install a roofing felt, it is prudent to understand what it is and how it benefits your roof.
Roofing felt is asphalt filled black paper that comes in rolls and offers protection against inclement weather conditions when installed over the roofing deck. It is not difficult to select the size of a roofing felt as they come in pre marked labels. If you find it confusing to opt for a felt, you can always ask a professional. Roofing felts are beneficial for your roof as they act as an extra layer of protection.
Mentioned below are some suggestions and steps to install a roofing felt

Prepare the decking
Clean the decking thoroughly before installing the felt. The decking should be free from potentially damaging debris and moisture. Any damage to the decking should be fixed before you start the process of installing the roofing felt. Check the decking for nails; you can do this with the help of a flat head shovel. Ensure that the decking is void of wood splinters. Once the decking is ready, mark 33 5/8
