Roof tiles – A popular roofing option

Roof tiles are a type of roof covering that comprise of many individual overlapping sections. They are typically of flat rectangular shape laid in rows. Each successive higher row of roof tiles overlaps the joints in the row below. Traditionally, the roof ridge uses ridge tiles or lead flashing.

Tiles are made from different materials like slate, wood, bitumen-soaked paper covered with asphalt, asbestos-cement, ceramic or composite materials.
