Continuing our support of a 142 Year Old Football Club | Hadley FC

Up the Bricks!

Located just down the road from our New Barnet store, Hadley Football Club. is the oldest football club playing in Barnet. Founded in 1882, at the time of writing this article it is over 142 years old and plays in The Southern Football League Division One Central at its home ground in Brickfield Lane.

Supporting the Club.

Come rain or shine, and even the bitterest of cold days, you'll find JJs staff at all Hadley FC games cheering on the team. Staff witnessed a great home win in the FA Trophy against a strong Grays Athletic FC team with both teams creating chances. Some fantastic saves from Hadley’s Charlie Taylor in the first half were the highlight as well as an own goal to send Hadley in 1 nil up at half time. A flurry of action towards the end of the second half saw a never-in-doubt spot kit slotted in the 89th minute from Luke Alfano, and Grays grabbing a 92 minute goal to make a dramatic ending. In the end Hadley ran out 2-1 wins. And progress onto the second round.

Spot on.

We also saw a fan land a tennis ball on the centre spot in the half-time tennis ball competition which was a first.

What's up next?

The FA Trophy final is played at Wembley, so here’s hoping @hadleyfc can continue this run…

Also, props to Winkworth Estate Agents in Barnet, who celebrated 10 years of supporting the Club.

We look forward to another successful season, and we’ll be supporting Hadley all the way.

Come on you bricks.
