VELUX Skylights
All VELUX Skylights have a type sign stating exact information about the window.
For windows such as the one illustrated here, the type sign is located in the right corner of the top sash behind the ventilation flap.

1. Window type, 2. Window size, 3. Window variant, 4. Production code
On other types of VELUX windows, you will find the type sign somewhere visible on the inside of the frame or sash, or behind the ventilation flap
The dataplate is located as follows when looking at the Skylight or Roof Window from inside the room:
- GGL Roof Window (pivoting) - Open sash and see dataplate on top right-hand side of sash.
- VSE Electric Opening Skylight (top hinged) - See dataplate on top frame on left-hand side.
- VS Manual Opening Skylight (top hinged) - See dataplate on top frame on left-hand side.
- FS Fixed Skylight - See dataplate on bottom frame on left-hand side.
- FCM Low Pitch Skylight - See data stamped on external aluminium frame.
VELUX Blinds
You will usually be able to find the production code on either the back of the cassette list or the back of the handle rail (it can be seen when the sash is fully rotated).
Please note that on roller blinds without side rails, the production code is placed on the roller tube and can therefore be difficult to find.
Also on older blinds, the production code can be missing.
VELUX Flashings
The production code is usually placed on the bottom flashing section. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the bottom frame cover to read the code, which is embossed or painted on the metal.
VELUX Panes
The production code is usually placed on the spacer in the glass cavity. Usually at the top left-hand side of the pane. It can be seen when the sash is fully rotated.
